Receiver (M-PLR)

HILTAP’s Mobile Pig Launcher Receiver (M-PLR) offers operators and logistics personnel a way to recover residual product remaining in hoses that connect to rail or road tankers.

The M-PLR unit rolls next to the rail car or road tanker, while the operator connects as usual underneath the tanker and pumps through the hose to your hard pipe transfer station. Typically, the product left over in the transfer hose is lost.

Instead, the M-PLR launches a hose squeegee projectile or pig. It pushes residual product through the hose, right into the hard piping. For example, in a 3" sized 30’ or 10m hose, 30 quarts or 35 liters respectively of valuable product can be recovered. The daily, weekly, and monthly savings add up quickly.
